About Me
Elly Grogan is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) who has dedicated her career to supporting community well-being through nearly twenty years of service in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector.
She provides consulting services to individual donors, foundations, and nonprofits to help them maximize their community impact, with a particular focus on philanthropic advising and grantmaking initiatives.
Elly brings significant experience in giving vehicles such as Donor Advised Funds and private foundations, planned giving, family philanthropy, and effective giving techniques.
Her unique background combines leadership roles at a Bay Area community foundation with nonprofit management in California and Latin America, providing her with a keen ability to assess community needs and nonprofit effectiveness. She holds an M.A. in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco, B.A.s in both Spanish and International Studies from the University of Oregon, and is a member of Leadership Santa Rosa Class 40.
Elly is a parent to two joyful, curious kids who fuel her to keep working toward a more just and kind community and world. In her spare time she loves to travel, explore Sonoma County’s wild open spaces, and dance salsa and bachata as much as humanly possible.
